What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (-3, 5) with a slope of 4? This is a question on my geometry homework? Can you please tell/show HOW you got the answer? Please and thankyou(:

Suggestion by Kelsey Y=mx + b
Plug the x and y coordinates into the equation (the x for x and y for y) and plug the slope of 4 in for m to have one variable (b).
So 5= 4(-3) + b
5= -12 + b
17= b and then put that into the equation.
The equation would then be
y=4x + 17
